Dear Ministry Partners,
IT’S BEEN A WHILE!!! We had our three-month break after some of the girls finished their covenant last December!!! We took our time off from the ministry to heal, pray and plan for the next chapter of this batch. As Ralph Marston says in one of his motivational quotes, “Rest when you’re weary. Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit. Then get back to work.” And so, WE’RE BACK!!!
And yes, it’s been a while since we last saw the Ministry Center! We did some minor fixes and a major ceiling repair, thanks to SIM, the now-owner of the facility we are using. Before the most-awaited face-to-face kick-off, we had to make sure that the Ministry Center was ready and set-up to comply with the security standards since we are still in a pandemic. And so, WE HAD OUR FACE-TO-FACE KICK-OFF last April!!!
“Wow, It’s been a while!” One of our young people said during the kick-off. Its been two long years since they met onsite. We were barely starting that time. And now, we believe we are actually moving forward! We saw the excited and happy faces of our young people, especially the new ones as they came in the Ministry Center for the first time. As per our tradition during kick-offs, we blindfolded them as they entered the center, while waiting for others to arrive. We played a “getting-to-know-you” game while blindfolded, making them guess the person in front of them just by hearing their voices, telling them the opposite about themselves. It was a challenge for some of them since we have just completed the team during the pandemic, and we were doing our sessions online. After the facility tour, we worshiped God together and were encouraged by Kuya (big brother) Tom Dennison’s exhortation entitled, “What Breaks Your Heart?” And so, WE ARE NOW MOVING FORWARD!!!
So far, we’ve had three face-to-face rehearsals and three online sessions. Right now, we are focused on learning more about God — His Sovereignty, Infinity and Immutability. I believe its just right for us to start our MAD (Mentoring, Accountability, Discipleship) Activate discussing about who God is, based on the scriptures and how our knowledge about Him affects our lives. By knowing more of His very nature, we are encouraged to continue our calling simply because we are convinced that God does not change. His plans and purpose will never fail especially His heart for the nations! In the same way that our calling does not change. All of us have a special task in reaching the lost for Christ. In one of our missions activities entitled “People Chain”, we illustrated the importance of partnership — that all of us, even with our different status or position in life play a very important role in reaching the nations. We don’t have to be a goer to actually be called a “missionary”. We could be mobilizers, welcomers and senders by being a financial supporter or prayer partners!!! And so, that includes YOU!!!
It’s been a while since we last THANKED YOU, OUR DEAR PARTNERS! And so, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Please pray for us as we move forward to our role in the great commission, that is to be a blessing to the next generation, so we can be a blessing to the nations!!!
In Christ’s name and fame,
